Evolution Digital has upgraded its eVUE-TV IP video platform, meant to help partners switch to IP-based video services, with features including a new user interface and back-office platform for analytics and billing systems.

The new UI features enhanced trick play, which lets customers jump backward and forward through content at customized speeds. It also displays a screen capture of the scene so users can visually see where they are in a video stream as they fast-

In the competitive cable market, Evolution Digital strives to provide operators the tools that consumers want in a TV viewing experience to help retain and attract subscribers.”

The Colorado-based company also deployed a new back-office operations console to manage linear and VOD billing systems. Digital Evolution said the operations console for eVUE-TV can help operators more robustly monitor and report customers’ viewing consumption habits.

Evolution Digital is focused on tier 2 and tier 3 operators, and counts WOW!, GCI, and Mediacom among its eVUE-TV customers.

eVUE-TV is available on the company’s Evolution eBOX IP/QAM set-top box and other third-party hardware.
