CENTENNIAL, Colo., May 11, 2016 – Evolution Digital today announces a new version of its eBOX IP Hybrid Set-Top Box with the new eGUIDE interactive guide, powered by Rovi’s Fan TV platform, enabling cable service providers to gain access to Rovi’s enhanced metadata and pave the way to future innovations that enhance the discovery experience. The newly developed Evolution Digital set-top box allows cable operators to deliver QAM linear channels and IP video services through a streamlined and integrated user interface.
Evolution Digital’s eBOX can be configured to support an all-IP platform, including live linear channels, IP Video on Demand programs, network DVR (nDVR) content and the leading OTT services. Finding content across these offerings has never been easier for consumers, as eGUIDE features universal search, 16:9 HD graphics and a simplified interactive grid guide to view traditional cable channels and IP video options.

Future enhancements will include adding popular third party apps and enabling universal search across all entertainment. In addition, eGUIDE plans to integrate additional features from the Fan TV platform, including 360 Discovery, which delivers an immersive experience that combines related show recommendations, critic reviews, sophisticated relational metadata and actor photos and biographies. Evolution Digital also plans to incorporate catch-up TV, caller ID features and the Fan TV Conversational Interface into eGUIDE enabling users to simply say what they want to watch in a natural way and then find any movie or show in the world of entertainment.
eGUIDE
Today, Evolution Digital introduces eGUIDE, powered and delivered by Rovi’s Fan TV platform. eGUIDE is a newly-designed and streamlined interactive program guide that leverages the breadth and depth of Rovi Metadata to deliver comprehensive program and celebrity information across linear cable channels and IP-delivered transactional and subscription VOD content.

Features of eGUIDE include a main menu for users to get access to a variety of video options, separate guides for traditional channels and IP Video content, an in-guide video of the current channel, nDVR recording capability and title search across available QAM and IP content. eGUIDE can also support targeted and interactive advertising capabilities.
eVUE-TV
eBOX with eGUIDE, powered by Fan TV platform, will launch with Evolution Digital’s eVUE-TV IP video solution, providing thousands of hours of top-rated VOD content to customers including new releases, third-party linear networks and premium channels through Master Affiliate Agreements. eVUE-TV is an easy and cost-effective way for cable operators to deliver popular IP VOD content plus live TV and nDVR on one user interface.
Consumers can take their favorite TV shows and movies available on eVUE-TV on the go, as the platform is available across mobile devices in the home including tablets and smart phones.
eVUE-TV generates viewers recommendations to drive increased usage and revenue for the operator, and includes deep links to popular TV shows and movies from the leading online retailers and streaming services.
