Evolution Digital has launched an Android TV-based all-IP box for MVPDs. The eSTREAM 4K device, which can be branded by the operator, aims to deliver an MVPD’s own pay TV offering alongside OTT apps and services, including those available from the Google Play store.
Colorado-based Evolution said the device is certified with Android TV’s Oreo 8.0 software, has Bluetooth pairing capabilities, and comes with a remote with voice command capabilities. It also features 802.11ac WiFi with a 4×4 antenna configuration.
