Centennial, Colorado — July 19, 2016–Evolution Digital today announced that it reached a deal with the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) to distribute its eVUE-TV™ IP Video on Demand service to NCTC member operators.

Evolution Digital’s eVUE-TV delivers thousands of hours of top-rated movies and the most popular on-demand TV shows, while leveraging IP video technologies to lower costs for the operator. eVUE-TV aggregates IP linear and VOD across a single interface, and future integrations to the platform include cloud-based services.

The eVUE-TV platform will first be introduced as an option for NCTC’s members on the newly developed VU-IT! platform, which includes a solution for efficient back office integration, OTT applications and enhanced services to enable IP linear and IP VOD. The service will initially be available on TiVo software-enabled devices, but can also be deployed on other platforms, as well as mobile devices. VOD content is uploaded from the cable operator’s local VOD sources and transcoded, thus allowing an exact replication of its VOD catalog in IP.

“Today’s agreement ensures that members of NCTC have access to the best on-demand content on one, easy-to-use platform at a price point that makes sense to the operator,” said Marc Cohen, executive vice president of sales at Evolution Digital. “As a disruptor in the pay-TV industry, we are committed to driving growth for NCTC members and, with the deployment of eVUE-TV, we will provide an unparalleled viewing experience to customers.”

“We are pleased to offer Evolution Digital’s eVUE-TV on our platform, providing cable operators a low-cost solution to deliver VOD,” said Rich Fickle, CEO and president at NCTC. “Evolution Digital continues to be a key partner for NCTC, from its pioneering of DTAs to now driving solutions that enable IP video services.”

Evolution Digital’s eVUE-TV allows customers on the VU-IT! platform to seamlessly navigate live and on-demand content on a variety of set-top devices with one remote. Viewers can also access eVUE-TV through mobile devices in the home including smart phones and tablets.
