Evolution Digital reports it has reached a deal with the National Cable Television Cooperative to distribute its eVUE-TV IP video-on-demand service to NCTC member operators.

The solution is said to deliver thousands of hours of movies and TV shows, while leveraging IP video technologies to lower operator costs. eVUE-TV aggregates IP linear and VOD across a single interface, and future integrations to the platform include cloud-based services, Evolution Digital says.

The service will initially be available on TiVo software-enabled devices, but also can be deployed on other platforms, as well as mobile devices. VOD content is uploaded from the cable operator’s local VOD sources and transcoded, so allows an exact replication of its VOD catalog in IP.
